Greetings Bicyclists! Mark your calendars for the 7th Annual Cranksgiving event happening Saturday, November 2nd. Meet at the Port Angeles Farmers Market around 10:30am to get registered before the orientation and roll-out at 11am. If you haven't heard of it before, Cranksgiving is a family friendly bike race / food drive. Riders will leave the Farmer's Market and visit several stores in any order collecting select items that will later be donated to the Port Angeles Food Bank. There are four, fun categories that riders can sign up for (below), each with their own custom trophy that the four top placers can win. Additionally, every rider gets a raffle ticket for joining the event and additional tickets based on placement. At the end of the event when all are accounted for, prizes are raffled off as a way of thanking the riders for their effort to purchase and collect items for donation. 2024 Rider categories: Magnanimous!: Deliver the most items as counted by The Bankers. 2x2x2: Two people related by Two different generations living in Two households. Both people must complete the Shopping List. Gourd-geous: Complete the ride in costume and/or decorated bike to promote Cranksgiving. Placing determined by crowd noise levels. The Stork: Return with a minimum of 3 baby care products. Bring a big bag, money for groceries, and perhaps some rain gear. Hope to see you there! If you are unable to make the Port Angeles event, please try to do the one in our neighbor Sequim which benefits their Food Bank. Sequim Cranksgiving will be Saturday Nov 23 at the Sequim Food Bank.Port Angeles, WA
