Cranksgiving is a food drive on wheels that is part bike race, part scavenger hunt. It happens in nearly 100 cities all across the country, and 2019 marks its 21st year. Riders are given a manifest of food items and grocers. They then cycle around Tempe, buying non-perishable food items to donate to local charities. Prizes are given away in a variety of qualifying categories. This year we selected a local nonprofit organization, Tempe Community Action Agency, to receive the food donations for their food pantry and emergency food services. Participation is FREE, but you'll need $15-$20 to purchase food. Short on cash but still want to help? Volunteers are needed to help run the event AND ride sponsorship is available!
