What’s Cranksgiving? It’s a Thanksgiving food drive on two wheels! Here’s the deal: Bring your bike, helmet, etc. and a purchase donation of $10, $15 or $20 to buy non-perishable foods at a nearby Publix during this special ride event. A list of recommended non-perishables you can purchase will be provided at the start and attached here folow this link: What to Bring to Cranksgiving, When: FRIDAY, November 8, 2019 Time: 9:00 a.m. Ride Start Point: Rothenbach Park, 8650 Bee Ridge Rd., Sarasota, Fl. After the ride, stick around for the SMBC/Publix Thanksgiving social that will include snacks, beverages and good fellowship. Sponsors: The Sarasota-Manatee Bike Club, Publix Supermarkets and the All Faiths Food Bank.Sarasota, FL
After you make your purchase (we will have a monitor for the bikes while you shop) it will be loaded into an official SMBC Cranksgiving van and delivered to the All Faiths Food Bank in Sarasota.
All the food will be distributed to needy families during the week of Thanksgiving.
