Cranksgiving is a bicycle-powered, scavenger hunt-style food drive where participants ride around the city purchasing food items from *checkpoints* on a *manifest*. Folks can compete for prizes, take a leisurely ride with friends, or meet up with donations at the end! All food collected will be donated to St Vincent’s Food Pantry, our local food bank serving over 130 families. 

 ….what is a checkpoint and manifest? 
A *checkpoint* is a specific location (aka grocery store), and a *manifest* is a list of items, both will be on a piece of paper you receive the morning of the 15th. 

….why are we using these terms? 
Cranksgiving is a nationwide charitable event in its 26th year, started in NY by Antonio “Tone” Rodrigues. Instead of speeding through a marked course, the alleycat format emulates a bike messenger's workday - completing tasks and riding to specific checkpoints throughout the city.
