What is Cranksgiving? Cranksgiving is a national event that combines bike riding and giving back. It's a mix of a scavenger hunt, food drive, and bike ride. We'll give you a list of food items and grocery stores, and then you'll have a set amount of time to ride to as many of the stores to collect as many of the food items as you can. All of the food goes to our food partners, Moveable Feast and Franciscan Center. Basically, it's all about food for people in need and riding bikes with friends, new and old. Riders can create teams of up to 4 people to participate. There will be prizes awarded for teams placing in first, second, third, and dead freakin' last. We will also have prizes for riders winning the Best Costume/Team Spirit, Family Riders, and FTW (femme, trans, women, non-binary, two-spirit people) categories. We definitely recommend putting together a team of 3-4 people for maximum fun! How does it work? Cranksgiving will have a 1:00pm in-person start at Harborplace. We recommend you get there a bit early, as digital manifests will be emailed to teams promptly at 1:00pm. When you get your manifest email, it's your cue to begin the food drive/scavenger hunt/bike ride! Your manifest will include a list of grocery stores and a list of items to buy, as well as outdoor challenge checkpoints to gain extra points. Your team will collectively decide in which order you want to complete the various stops and end by bringing the food items to donate at the Franciscan Center or Moveable Feast. You'll need to be back to the food partner by 3:00pm to score points.Baltimore, MD
