Cranksgiving Oneonta, NY Returns

Come join us for the the second annual Cranksgiving Oneonta, a food drive on two wheels, hosted by Otsego Bicycles on Saturday, November 21st, 2026 from 11am to 2pm. Part bike ride, part scavenger hunt, Cranksgiving is a fun way to bike around town while gathering donations to support Your Safe Haven food pantry. All you need is a bicycle, a lock, and a bag. The event is free, but you’ll need $10-$20 to purchase food.

You’ll pedal the streets as you search for specific items at various stories around town. Once you’ve collected all the items and arrived at the finish, the food will be donated to the needy. Cranksgiving is a national event that occurs in over 100 cities across the country, including Oneonta.

This event welcomes everyone: very casual riders as well as cycling enthusiasts. For those looking for a challenge, this event will include an optional “three hill challenge” in addition to the usual stops. And yes, there will be prizes, donated by local businesses.

Aim to arrive at Otsego Bicycles (74 Water Street, Oneonta) at 11am on 11/21 for registration. The ride kicks off 11:15am. See you there!

Not a bicyclist, or can't ride that day? You can still contribute! Bring food or cash donations to Otsego Bicycles by 11 am on 11/21.
